Ridiculous Multi-Million Claim Blames La Habra 90631 Police

GREEDY ANTHUNA LAWYERS SEEK MILLIONS FROM LA HABRA CITIZENS

LA HABRA – In an all too typical display of wholesale greed, family members of Charles and Suzanne Antuna, who recently died in a tragic accident when there car collided with a La Habra police vehicle responding to an emergency, are suing the City of La Habra, California – 90631, for $18.5 million dollars. While the family’s loss is real and their greif is real, the financial burden they are attempting to place on each and every citizen in La Habra is not.

Obviously, pit-bull, piranha, predatory lawyers have once again decided to pick a number out of their ass in order to artificially inflate their own greedy fees and falsely push the bereaved Antuna heirs into believing that the police and not their neighbors, church friends and many other good citizens of La Habra will be the ones to pay… and pay… and PAY!

If you doubt this, just ask the lawyers involved what their percentage is?

While it is certainly not beyond the realm of the possible, lawyers typically take sketchy, emotionally charged cases like this based on something other than a flat fee. In other words, they receive a hefty percentage of the amount awarded by the court. They also don’t care one bit that it is not the La Habra Police, but the citizens of La Habra that will ultimately bear the burden for the exorbitant and extravagantly inflated compensation expected in this case.

Or, perhaps the four Anthuna children and Suzanne Anthuna’s brother, who are supposedly suing on behalf of the Anthuna’s estate and not their own unbridled greed, are the ones that really don’t care about any of us in La Habra.

What if they, as well as their fortune seeking lawyers have turned themselves in to cold hearted opportunists like the monsters that destroyed our nations financial institutions and have been swept away with heady notions of living in the lap of luxury at someone else’s expense?

If the plaintiffs prevail in obtaining $18.5 million dollars of citizen money for the death of two lovely people who never earned that much in their entire lives and NEVER had a way to leave their four children and Suzanne’s brother a multi-million dollar fortune, the family’s loss will supposedly be eased because they will be able to afford to live in La Habra Heights, Newport Beach, Beverly Hills or pretty much any where that they want!

While someone’s grief may be seemingly mitigated and even forgotten by gazing at beautiful sunsets from a Pacific Palisades mansion that Charles and Suzanne could never, NEVER afford, yours and mine will continue, much longer. Be reminded that it is YOU, THE CITIZENS OF LA HABRA who will pay… and pay… and PAY!

It is obvious that the claims made on behalf of the Antuna’s estate, their four children and Suzanne Antuna’s brother do not take in to account the fact that it is NOT the La Habra Police Department that will be punished for this tragedy, accidental or otherwise, but the neighbors of Charles and Suzanne Antuna, the citizens of La Habra 90631 and the good people of the state of California.

The real tragedy is that many friends and neighbors will likely be people who care for, miss and love Charles and Suzanne, while at the same time be totally  unaware of the hefty financial burden being placed on them by the surviving Antuna family members.

We’ll Miss You Gil

Our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and many friends of Gilbert Flores. Gil passed away suddenly last week. He visited with friends at Starbucks Coffee in the morning and checked in to the hospital later that day when he said he didn’t feel well. Services are Thursday, April 16, 11:00AM at Rose Hills Cemetery. Friends who knew Gil well are asking everyone who attends to dress casually and wear your brightest Hawaiian shirt. Bye, Gill. We miss you.

Orange County Maglev Trains

Interesting stuff here about High Speed MagLev trains and Orange County.

OrangeLine High Speed Maglev Trainsrent a car bulgariaonline casinoмебели

Connections using High Speed Maglev trains from Anaheim to Las Vegas and a line that would get passengers from Orange County to Union Station in 30 minutes sound good to me.

The one big question here is why are so many people pushing for a 100 year old Overhead Electric train technology for a high speed rail corridor that could eventually run from Sacramento to San Diego , while passing through Los Angeles and, of course Orange County.

We’re talking about crossing hundreds of miles of open land, much of it desert, and it is difficult to comprehend why a lower maintenance technology like Maglev is not the first choice for the states’ northern and coastal routes. Of course, countries like Germany and Japan are building their Maglev public transportation infrastructure now. Guess we really showed em’ who the technology champs were in WWII.

Whittier’s Best Beat the Socks Off Garbageman’s Favorite in Municipal Election

Congratulations to Whittier City Council incumbents Owen Newcomer, Joe Vinatieri and Cathy Warner on a well deserved municipal election victory. Apparently, the good citizens of Whittier know good leadership when they have it and some of them are even willing to get up out of their easy chairs and take a minute or two to vote.

It is now apparent that even with the backing of Whittier’s powerful and influential ‘Garbage Guru’, the local queen of criticism, Jeanette Fasone was not able to pull a fast one and bully her way into a city council seat. Kudos to those that still know how to run a clean campaign.

And then there’s Joe Marsico who’s nothing, but consistent.

Again, congratulations to the next Whittier City Council and thank you for providing the citizen’s of Whittier with rational leadership. Your neighbors here in La Habra sleep better at night knowing that you are there.

Now if we can just get La Habra to do good things like extend the Greenway Trail…

Councilman Steve Anderson will be missed

I’ve known Steve Anderson since he won his first council seat in 1992. He was a great leader, quiet but forceful when he had to be. Thoughts and prayers to his wife Josie and entire family.

I mainly knew Steve as the initiater of the “Trees For La Habra Project” and the Sonora High Tree Farm. Because of Steve’s work La Habra now has 100s of extra municipal trees. Solving La Habra’s blight problem, & replacing 1000s of missing municipal trees was one of Steve’s many passions. Starting the La Habra Beautifiction Committee was another Steve Anderson accomplishment. The Trees for La Habra Committeewill plant a tree in his memory.

May he rest in peace.

Stupid Coffee House Tricks

There sure are a lot of comments on this La Habra blog about Mister Bean. So, here is another one.

Has anyone been by there lately? Just like Starbuck’s coffee house and McDonald’s they are selling breakfast sandwiches. You know, a bun with a scrambled egg, a slice of a cheese like product and the shadow of some bacon waved over it. Think of an Egg-Whatever sandwich and you will get the picture. That’s not stupid all by itself. But what is, is the price.

It sounded kind of dumb when Starbuck’s coffee house started selling nearly the same $1.95 breakfast sandwiches McDonald’s has successfully sold for years, but for more money and of a lesser quality. That’s $2.95 and a whole buck more for a frozen and reheated sandwich, compared to the one that McDonald’s actually cooks while you wait. Get the picture.

Now these clowns come along and want to sell frozen and microwaved Egg-Whatever sandwiches for a buck more than the Buck’s. That’s $3.95 and… S T O O P I D !
